It's time for another Color Throwdown! Monika is our hostess this week and she's chosen a fun, bold color palette--red, yellow, blue, and orange. I used the colors and the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch to make a clean and simple birthday card.
I used the Party Hats dies from Lil' Inker Designs to cut a pair of festive hats from cardstock that matched the challenge colors. After assembling the hats, I used foam tape to adhere them to a white card base over a pair of handcut fishtail flag strips. I stamped the "let's celebrate" sentiment from the Just Sayin' stamp set on the wider fishtail flag strip. I can tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of this set! A few enamel dots scattered around the hats finished the design.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD342. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd342 and #colorthrowdown.
