Sweet Peek Week continues today at SugarPea Designs with a first look at two new book themed stamp sets and a set of coordinating SugarCuts dies. I'm an avid reader, so I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get my hands on these stamps and dies!
I used the new Read Between the Lines stamp set and the SugarCuts-Brainy Bookmarks dies to make this card and matching bookmark set. The bookworm from the Read Between the Lines set is the focal image on my card. He was colored with Copic markers and his glasses were coated with Glossy Accents for a glass-like look.
I used some older letter patterned paper I found in my stash on both the card and bookmark. The font is a great match for the letters in the word "read" from the Brainy Bookmarks die set. I used the inlaid die cutting technique to place the word on my bookmark, also die cut with one of the Brainy Bookmarks dies. I'm thinking I may laminate the bookmark to make it more durable before I give it as a gift. Yes, I have a laminator at home--when you're a kindergarten teacher, it gets a lot of use!
