Spreading Good Cheer card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches

I took my inspiration from the yummy gingerbread cookies in the photo.  I made my own gingerbread cookies with a stamp from the Paper Smooches Giddy Gumdrops stamp set and coordinating  Gumdrop Icons dies.  The gingerbread image was stamped in white pigment ink on brown cardstock, then heat embossed to get an icing-like look.  I added details with a Lady Bug irRESISTible Pico Embellisher. These are fabulous for adding tiny dimensional details like buttons!

I paired the image with the current sketch from RetroSketches. After arranging a bunch of different sized silver circles on a red gingham panel, I added the gingerbread man on top, using foam tape for dimension.  The "sending good cheer" sentiment was stamped in red ink on a white banner die cut.  A few silver sequins above and below the circles completed the design.
