Simply Sparkly, Part 1
This is a simple card that stands out IRL because of all its sparkle. Unfortunately, sparkle doesn't translate too well to digital images. The images from Big Pieces are stamped on glossy white cardstock, then covered in Versamark, then sprinkled with iridescent ice embossing powder. When the powder is heated, it makes the stamped glossy cardstock sparkly. Fun technique, but a little messy. The iridescent ice EP is everywhere, in spite of my best efforts to contain it. Cosmo has lots of sparkles on his nose--I hope they aren't toxic! We have made it over six weeks without an emergency visit to the vet, which is close to a record for him. Check out SCS for a more detailed tutorial for this technique (Dazzling Diamond Dust). This card (and another equally sparkly design--check back later this week to see it) will be going out in the mail this week to some WISH-RAK members wishing for Big Pieces and some sister SCS bloggers. Watch your mailboxes . . .
