Sparkly Swap

This bright and sparkly card was made for a swap with my swap group. The purpose of the swap was to create cards to showcase some SU! products that people might not be aware of (it is a big catalog, after all!) or might not be sure of how to use. I highlighted a few fun products on this card. I used the Bodacious Bouquet Classy Brass template for two different techniques on the card-- paper piercing and dry embossing. I love these templates and hope that the new catalog will have a new and expanded selection. The paper piercing adds a fun detail and I do a much better job with the piercing when I have some kind of guide. The flower is stamped in Pink Passion Craft ink, then covered with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. It's attached to the white panel with a dimensional. This card shows how well SU!'s stamp sets and accessories coordinate and work together (stamp set, jumbo wheel, brass template). It makes it a lot easier to get a great-looking card when you know from the start that all your "stuff' is meant to work well together!

The envelope full of cardfronts from this swap arrived at my house today and they're all amazing. If you want to see some of the other cards from this swap, check out Kirsten's blog here. It turns out that she used the same stamp set as I did for the swap!

Materials Used (all from Stampin' Up!):
Bodacious Bouquet and Happy Everything stamp sets; Bodacious jumbo wheel and handle; Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac and Green Galore Classic inks; Pink Passion Craft ink; Pink Passion, Barely Banana, Pixie Pink, and Whisper White cardstock; mat pack and paper piercing tool; Bodacious Bouquet Classy Brass template; Iridescent Ice embossing powder; silver brad; round tab punch; stampin' dimensional
