More Vases in Vogue

Back from class and a visit to the Minute Clinic to finally get some medication for the cold-turned-sinus infection that I haven't been able to beat . . . Here's a card that I completed for Beate's sketch challenge. It's pretty close to her sketch, other than changing the placement of the sentiment.

It's a gatefold card, so the two sides of the card (polka dotted panels) fold out to reveal the inside. Mine doesn't have anything exciting to reveal, though. Beate posted measurements and directions for the gatefold card on her blog if you're interested in trying one out, too.

I am really liking the Vases in Vogue hostess set, so here it is again. I used a color scheme from the SU! Color Coach for this project. The polka dotted paper is from the Palette of Prints paper pack that was available as an SU! sneak preview last month. I stamped the flower and vase on white cardstock, then stamped the vase again on Certainly Celery cardstock. After cutting out the Certainly Celery vase, I filled in the dots on the vase with the white gel pen to mirror the dots on the Almost Amethyst paper, then attached it to the white cardstock with a dimensional.

The flower cutout on the circles is used as a closure for the flap on the front of the card. The main image slides under the circle so that the card lies flat. Easy solution!

Now, back to homework . . .
