Thank You Deer

I took a short break from working on my convention swaps to try Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I love the animal images from the new Moose You set. Here, I used the deer image for a quick thank you note.

The deer was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink, then punched out with a mega oval punch. I added a sky and grass using a sponge and the grass image from Trees Three (I'll have to try putting the deer with the tree image from that set sometime . . .), then matted the image on a giga scalloped oval punch.

Two of the patterned papers I used on this card are from Stampin' Up!--the striped paper from the new Fall Flowers pack and the dotted paper in Certainly Celery from the Prints Designer series. The "flourish-y" paper is from Target. I love the flocked texture! The paper itself is a good match for SU!'s Bashful Blue, even though the textured images are more of an aqua color, I think.

Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: Moose You and Trees Three stamp sets; Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive Classic inks; Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White cardstock; Fall Flowers and Prints Series designer paper in Certainly Celery; word window punch; mat pack and paper piercing tool; sponge; dimensionals
Other: mega oval and giga scalloped oval punches (Marvy Uchida); brown dotted ribbon (Michaels); flocked paper (Target)
