Sketch with Stars
I'm "stealing" my parents' internet connection yet again, this time to bring you the winner of the blog candy I offered earlier this week. My sister Jill, my official random number selector, chose number 4. Comment number 4 was made by Jackie from Just Stamp It! Jackie, please contact me via email (link on the right) so I can get your package out to you.
And, while I'm here, I have a card to share for this week's sketch challenge at 2 Sketches 4 You. I wanted to use these chipboard stars for my card and found the perfect coordinating paper in my collection. It had just a tiny bit of the neon-ish green of one of the stars. I love when that happens!
I used Papertrey Ink's Sweet Blush cardstock as the card base. The patterned paper is matted with a piece of PTI's Berry Sorbet cardstock. Both of these colors were pretty close matches to the colors of the stars, too. I arranged and re-arranged them, changing their order and the layers until I came up with a combination that I liked.
The sentiment is from the SU! In the Stars set from the most recent mini catalog. I really like this set and hope it makes it to the new big catalog . . .
Materials Used:
In the Stars stamp set (Stampin' Up!); Berry Sorbet Palette ink, Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); patterned paper (Me & My Big Ideas); pink grosgrain ribbon, chipboard stars (American Crafts)

Beautiful card. I love the colors. They aren't the colors you usually see on cards with stars and I like that.
