On the first Tuesday of every month,
Clear & Simple Stamps will be having a challenge. This month's theme is shape cards--anything but a square or a rectangle goes.
Here's my card for this month's challenge. I used my Top Note die to create a fun purse shaped card. I folded my cardstock first, then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder to get a fun texture for the front of the purse card. Then, I ran the cardstock through the Cuttlebug again, this time with my Top Note die. I placed the cardstock on the die so that it would not cut out the whole shape.
I rubbed some cream pigment ink over the front to add some variation to the color. Then, I used a strip of cream cardstock cut from another Top Note die cut for the "fashionista" sentiment from the Diva Closet Style stamp set. I attached this to the bottom of the purse, then wrapped a strip of dark brown grosgrain ribbon around the purse. I added a matching ribbon handle, held in place with silver brads, and a cream button as a "closure."
Hope you'll join us in the fun! If you create a card for this challenge, please post it (or a link to it) in the
CSS group on
Paper Craft Planet.
