Because of You Thinking of You
Here's my card for today's SCS sketch challenge. It combines one of my favorite color schemes (brown and blue) with the new Because of You stamp set from Verve Stamps.
I stamped one of the floral silhouette images repeatedly in blue ink on the vanilla panel for the focal image. I varied the placement of the image for a little interest, then sponged some brown ink along the edges for a distressed look.
I paired the image with patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. The colors of this paper coordinated nicely with the Baja Breeze I used for the card base and for the images. The sentiment comes from Verve's Circular Sayings set. I layered it on a scalloped panel, then on a plain circle panel for a slightly different look before attaching it to the cardfront.
Materials Used:
Because of You and Circular Sayings stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Close to Cocoa and Baja Breeze Classic ink, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, and Very Vanilla cardstock, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, sponge, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (My Mind's Eye-Penny Lane line); circle and scalloped circle dies (Nestabilities)
