Here's my version of the sketch using one of the butterfly stamps from the Butterfly Garden set. I created a 4 1/4" square card with pretty spring colors. The card base is Papertrey Ink's Sweet Blush cardstock, covered with sparkly patterned paper from a K & Company paper pad.
I resized one of the butterfly images just a bit to fit the circle opening in my image panel. I used a Nestabilities die to cut out the circle frame and also to create the very narrow scalloped circle frame to surround the opening.
The butterfly was printed on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I covered it with a light coating of Pink Shimmerz paint.
To add a little more dimension, I printed the butterfly image again, this time on a piece of vellum. I cut around the image, then attached it to the colored image with some glue (I like to use a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen when I do this). I added a simple sentiment from the Verve Stamps Circular Sayings set to complete the card.
To get you excited, the rest of our DT is showcasing the sketch challenge prize set Butterfly Garden. Check out their blogs sometime today to see what they made :)
