Celebrate, Kate!

Kate from i {heart} papers is celebrating her birthday (today!) with a trip. I sent this card out to her late last week so it would arrive before she headed out for her adventure. She’s left the store filled with a bunch of great deals on stamps and other supplies. If you place an order at the store, know that it will be filled when she returns home next week.

Since this was a birthday card, I went festive with lots of sparkle and shine. I covered the card base with some shimmery striped paper from GCD Studios. Then, I used one of the crystal margarita glasses from Zva Creative as the focal image on my card. It’s layered on a pair of circles and embellished with an ivory faux suede bow.

And, no birthday card for Kate would be complete without a sentiment from one of her favorite stamp sets, Chelsea Sentiments. I chose the “celebrate” sentiment—the perfect match for a martini, isn’t it? It’s stamped in Noir Black ink and looks so nice against the shimmery striped paper.
