Take the Challenge: Cover It!

***Scroll down to check out my Chicken Girl Designs announcement.***

It’s time for another Take the Challenge with Clear & Simple Stamps. The theme for this month’s challenge is “Cover It,” in honor of the time-honored tradition of covering textbooks at the start of the school year. Instead of covering a textbook (I’m sooo glad I’ve finished grad school so with classes again—at least for a little while . . .), I covered a mini composition book. In keeping with the back to school theme, I used some October Afternoon apple patterned designer paper to cover a portion of the cover. I used the letter block stamp from the ABC . . .123 stamp set to make the panel for the lower portion of the cover. The two blocks are divided by a strip of green grosgrain ribbon.

I stamped the crayon image from the set on a scrap of Kiwi Kiss paper and cut it out, then added the word “notes” using the soon-to-be released Bitty Alpha Modern. The crayon is attached to the ribbon. I added a green button as a fun embellishment.

Be sure to visit the rest of the CSS DT to see what they’re covering up. Here’s where you can find them:
