Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to use a Bella or a Stella image on your project. I have a nice assortment of both Bellas and Stellas, so it took me a while to pick out the one I wanted to use—LOL!
I finally settled on i-can't-see-a-thing-abella for a fun birthday card. I stamped her on a Top Note die cutout in black ink and colored her with Copic markers to coordinate with the bright stripes in the Fancy Pants designer paper I used to cover most of the cardfront. I purposely stamped the image so that a tiny part of the balloon extended over the top edge of the die cut. To add some interest, I stamped the balloon portion of the image a second time, colored it, cut it out and attached it to the colored image using foam tape to complete the “out of the box” look.
The coordinating “put your party hat on” sentiment is stamped on a red ribbon strip. The strip is set beneath the Bella’s feet. I added a big red sparkly brad to the end as an accent.
Materials Used:
i-can't-see-a-thing-abella image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Ballet Blue cardstock, Top Note die (Stampin’ Up!); Rusted Sun-Umbrella designer paper (Fancy Pants); red grosgrain ribbon(Michaels); red rhinestone brad (?); foam tape
