Super Square Bellarific Friday

Here’s my card for this week’s Bellarific Friday from Stamping Bella. This week’s challenge was to create a square card. I used this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge to make this cute square card, perfect for a special little boy.

I stamped the Super Tyler image on a cream panel, then colored the image with Copic markers. The image is highlighted around the edges with yellow markers for a fun glow. I also added some clear yellow glaze pen to the superhero’s goggles. The “you’re super” sentiment is stamped on a small yellow circle and added to the edge of the image panel.

In keeping with the superhero theme, I went for a starry patterned paper behind the image panel. I layered the image on a red mat to help it stand out from the blue background. A row of alternating sparkly gold stars and red buttons runs along the bottom of the card.

Materials Used:
Super Tyler image and sentiment (Stamping Bella); cream cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Real Red and Crushed Curry cardstock, small star punch (Stampin’ Up!); designer paper (Creative Imaginations); shimmery gold paper (Target); circle dies (Nestabilities); circle punch (EK Success); yellow Glaze pen (Sakura); buttons, twine (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
