Birthday Blog Hop
***Scroll down to the post below for my Clear and Simple Stamps release project!***
I’m thrilled to be part of a blog hop celebrating the birthday of one of my dear stamping buddies, Tammy Hershberger. You should have arrived here from Julie's blog, but if you've missed any of the stops along the way, you can check in at Barbara's to find your way.
Here’s the card I made in honor of this special day. It’s already in the mail, on the way to Tammy. I used the Pure Innocence You're So Tweet set from My Favorite Things. I hadn’t inked it up yet and the sweet image and matching birthday sentiment seemed perfect for an almost springtime birthday card. The little cutie is colored with Copic markers. I added a little bit of Stickles to her barrette and the heart on her dress, plus a dot of silver Liquid Pearls for the buckles on her shoes.
I cut her out and set her on a simple scene, filled in with felt clouds and grass cut using MFT’s dies. I added a scalloped strip to the edge of the scene and the birthday sentiment on a banner die cut. The scene is attached to a cardfront covered with a piece of music patterned paper that coordinated perfectly with the image’s music notes.
Hope you have a wonderful day, Tammy! To continue on with the celebration, hop on over to Maria Bell.
Materials Used:
Pure Innocence You're So Tweet stamp set, Die-Namics flat bottom cloud and grass dies (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist cardstock, medium scallop die, Simply Chartreuse felt (Papertrey Ink); Regal Rose cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Alphabet Soup Little Girl Collection Kit (My Mind’s Eye); Fruit Punch and Cotton Candy Stickles, silver Liquid Pearls (Ranger); white felt; foam tape; sewing machine
