Bundle of Joy

Here’s my card for the latest Lawnscaping challenge. This one’s a sketch challenge and I went with a sweet and simple baby theme using the Plus One set.

I stamped the stork image on white cardstock. To add interest, I covered the stork’s body with Sugar Sparkly Fluff and paper pieced the little bundle with some striped paper. The image is attached to a blue panel using tiny dimensional dots. The “bundle of joy” sentiment fit perfectly underneath the image.

The image is layered on a polka dot embossed pale pink panel. A strip of the same patterned paper as I used on the stork’s little bundle runs along the left edge of the panel. I wrapped a piece of light blue faux suede ribbon around the patterned paper, then wrapped some pink baker’s twine around that, securing it with a white button.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Plus One stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic marker (YR12), Our Craft Lounge Sugar Sparkly Fluff, My Mind’s Eye Stella & Rose-Gertie 6 x 6 paper pad, Spellbinders rectangle die, QuicKutz Polka Dots embossing folder, May Arts light blue faux suede ribbon, Divine Twine Cotton Candy Pink baker’s twine, Zva Creative dimensional dots

other: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, and Very Vanilla cardstock, scallop edge punch (Stampin’ Up!); white button (Michaels)
