Little Peanut
***Second post for today! See my CSS release preview post below.***
This post is kind of a continuation of my post from earlier today since it features another sneak peek of the Punny Baby set, available tomorrow from Clear and Simple Stamps. If you missed my earlier post with the details about the release and the sneak peeks, plus links to other designers sharing sneak peeks today, you can find it here.
This simple card is for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this punny card seen here. I kept the brown and pink color scheme and the basic elements of the layout the same, but made a few changes to fit the smaller focal image. The peanut image is stamped in two steps--a lighter solid image with a darker outline image stamped over it. I cut the stamped image out and used foam tape to attach it to a fancy shaped panel (CSS's new Labels 9 die, releasing tomorrow) cut from a piece of striped paper. I stamped one of the set's sentiments on the shaped designer paper panel, then layered it on a slightly larger same shaped pink mat.
The large panel on the cardfront is made from brown cardstock. Instead of using pink satin ribbon for the strip across the cardfront, I used pink dotted washi tape, edged with a strip of pale green cardstock, for a whimsical feel. The panel's edges are machine stitched and it's layered on a crisp white card base.
Materials Used:
Punny Baby stamp set, Dish All the Dirt Brown and On the Catwalk Cream inks, Brown Leather Satchel, I'm a Princess Pink, Green with Envy, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Labels 9 dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Baby Girl Stripe designer paper (Cloud 9 Design); washi tape; sewing machine
