I found some green chevron patterned paper in my collection to use for the panel at the bottom of the card. The chevron paper and image panel are matted on pale green panels, then set on the light blue card base. I attached a dark blue cardstock strip along the left side of the card and layered a piece of lighter blue grosgrain ribbon over that for some texture. A green button, tied with matching baker’s twine, anchors the end of the ribbon strip. For the sentiment, I stamped “happy birthday” from the versatile A Beary Good Year set on a circular panel and layered that over the blue strip and the top edge of the image panel.
I hope you’ll play along with us for this week’s inspiration challenge. And, don’t forget to link up your version of the sketch to the guestbook album on Alma’s blog for a chance to win this week’s Cat Cash prize. Did you see her announcement the other day about a release coming up in April? That Cat Cash would come in handy just about now, wouldn't it??
