If Friends Were Flowers

***Don't miss my card for this week's Color Throwdown in the post below!***

Here’s a simple floral design I put together for today’s SCS sketch challenge. The long stemmed flowers from Our Craft Lounge’s Pretty Petals set were a good fit for the sketch's large image placed directly on the cardfront.

I stamped the stems and leaves first, then added the flowers to the tops of the stems. The images were colored with Copic markers. To add interest, I stamped the flowers a second time on a scrap of cardstock, colored them, cut them out, and used foam tape to attach them to the cardfront.

The “if friends were flowers” sentiment from the Say it with Flowers set is stamped in pink ink on a pink cardstock strip that is set underneath the flowers. I accented the strip with a bit of lace trim and a satin bow for a final feminine touch.

Materials Used:
Pretty Petals and Say it with Flowers stamp sets (Our Craft Lounge); white cardstock (Xerox); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Vivid Tea Rose ink (Clearsnap) markers (Copic); Blushing Bride cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); pink lace trim (May Arts); pink satin ribbon (Target); Bow Easy; foam tape
