Color Throwdown 198-Enjoy the Ride

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! This week, Kerri’s brought us a great combination— Cameo Coral, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, and Basic Gray. I used the colors to create this whimsical card based on the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.

I colored the bunny and his moped with markers, then carefully cut out the colored image. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added a little bit of Glossy Accents to the moped’s lights and colored the mirrors on each side with a silver gel pen. It’s set on a two toned aqua and gray panel (think open road and summer sky!) with foam tape. For some texture, I added a pair of felt clouds, cut with the CutUps Cloud Border die, behind the bunny, then stamped the set’s “enjoy the ride” sentiment above it.

I used a pair of coordinating papers from a My Mind’s Eye paper pad for the panels beneath the image. Each panel is machine stitched around the edges for a finished look. The image panel is accented with a pair of aqua buttons, threaded with a little linen thread, and a pair of satin ribbon tabs.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD198. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and June’s guestie, Anna Wight:

** Barbara ** Broni ** Danielle ** Joan **
Kerri ** Lynn ** Wanda **

Only two more weeks to go until we reach the 200th Color Throwdown challenge! You won’t want to miss what the Color Throwdown team has planned to mark the occasion . . .
