Sending a Cuppa Love

Here’s my go at this month’s Market Street Stamps Paint the Town color challenge. This month’s colors (and inspiration photo) screamed retro kitchen to me, so I went with a coffee themed card using Market Street’s Daily Grind stamp set and the current Deconstructed Sketch challenge.

I stamped one of the set’s mug images, using brown and red tear-drop shaped ink pads to get the image inked up in two different colors. I colored the image with Copic markers, then cut it out and attached it to a white oval with dimensional dots.

The patterned papers I used on the card come from three different 6x6 paper pads, but still work well together. I picked a small dotted pattern to cover most of the cardfront, a sunny gingham one for the strip across the cardfront, and a pretty lacy doily patterned one for the fancy edged strip. The fancy edge was cut with a pair of nesting frame dies. I dressed up the gingham panel with a strip of red faux suede ribbon with a little gold ruffle-edged trim along the bottom, then added the image panel on top using dimensional dots.

Materials Used:
