TCP Tuesday 215-Home Tweet Home

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge is a great sketch, brought to us by the talented Amy. At first, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the long zig zag element across the cardfront, but once I came upon the branch image from the The Tweetest Thing set, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and this card came together easily.

I stamped the branch image on kraft cardstock and cut it out, then inked it with some distress inks before attaching it to a piece of cloud patterned paper. I used the CutUps Home Tweet Home die to die cut a birdhouse to hang from the branch. The birdhouse is stamped with the matching image from the The Tweetest Thing set. I used a scrap of red cardstock to fill in the heart shaped opening. It’s coated with glitter for a fun sparkle that I didn't do a great job of capturing in the photo.

I attached a contrasting striped paper strip to the bottom of the cloud panel. A piece of olive twill separates the two patterns. I attached a matching green button, tied with more of the twill, as an accent. The set’s “home tweet home” sentiment is stamped in teal ink on a light blue strip and attached to the striped panel.

Be sure to check out all the details on this week's challenge on Alma's blog.  You don't want to miss out on your chance at this week's Cat Cash prize . . .
