TCP Tuesday 220-Commemorating You

This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge is a sketch challenge, courtesy of Amy. I inked up the postal themed Commemorating You set for my take on the sketch.

I started by using the TCP CutUps Stamp Trio die, then went to town with a bunch of images from the stamp set. I used one of the frames along with a few of the silhouette images and some of the postage ones all mixed and matched across the three panels. Once I was done stamping, I inked the edges of the piece with some distress ink to dirty it up just a bit.

Since I used red and blue inks on the stamped panel, I stuck with that for the rest of the card. I found a navy blue star patterned paper for the large panel behind the image. A strip of red and white stripes is machine stitched along its edge. I layered a pair of navy and red circles over the star paper, then set it on a kraft panel. A strip of red grosgrain ribbon, accented with a pair of silver brads, runs the length of the card and adds a little texture to the design. After attaching the stamped panel, I set the assembled kraft piece on a navy card base.

For all the details on the challenge and how you can win this week’s Cat Cash prize by joining in, check out Alma’s blog or the TCP forum on SCS.
