Blogger Challenge: Week 270

This week's blogger challenge is a color challenge--black, white, and a splash of color.  I went kind of traditional with this design based on the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches using stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs.  And, I pulled it together in 8 minutes and 45 seconds in keeping with the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge!

I die cut a bunch of perforated red hearts from scraps of red cardstock, then played around with their arrangement on a strip of black cardstock until I found one I liked.  Each heart is adhered to the black strip with foam tape.  I cut the arrow from black cardstock and added that over the two hearts on the right of the strip, then layered it on a white panel.  The "for you, lots of these" sentiment is stamped just above the heart-filled strip in black ink.  The panel's layered on a red mat, then set on a black card base.

For more color splash project ideas, check out the link list below. And, if you create a project of your own, feel free to add your link to the list.

Materials Used:
Of the Heart stamp and die set (Lil' Inker Designs); Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); foam tape
