It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Kerri’s our hostess this week and she’s brought us this pretty color combination— Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, and Tempting Turquoise. I used the colors to make a girly card featuring one of the Rag Dolls from Clear and Simple Stamps.
I stamped Rag Doll Willa on white cardstock and colored her with Copic markers , then carefully cut around her. She’s set on a layered label die cut piece and the rest of the thank you sentiment is attached just beneath her on a turquoise Favor Flag die cut piece. The narrowest flag was the perfect width for the words!
I kept the layout simple to keep the focus on the adorable rag doll. I attached a multicolored plaid patterned paper across a pink panel, then added the image panel on top. It’s accented with a baker’s twine tied button.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD206. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and August’s guestie, Vickie Zimmer:
Ragdoll Willa: Thank stamp set, Perfect Little Black Dress ink, I’m a Princess Pink, Green with Envy, Simply Blue-tiful, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Favor Flags and Labels 9 dies, Copic markers (E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E17, E18, YR14, R81, R83, R85, YG01,YG03, YG05), Green with Envy button, Divine Twine blue baker’s twine (Clear and Simple Stamps); Hip Hooray “Girl”-Happy Day designer paper (My Mind’s Eye)
I love that the girl is "leaning" on the sentiment! Adorable and fun card!
