Up, Up, and Away Birthday
***Scroll down to the post below or click here to see my projects and tutorial for today's Clear and Simple Stamps release in review!***
Here’s my card for today’s SCS clean and simple challenge to use navy blue and white. I used the adorable Little Hot Rod set from Papertrey Ink for this cute, quick birthday card that's perfect for a little boy.
I die cut the plane shape from white cardstock, then stamped the matching image on it using navy ink. The die cut piece is set on a navy circle with foam tape. I added a few die cut white clouds to fill in the extra space.
The plane's set on a white panel with a strip of blue satin ribbon, rescued from my scrap pile, stretched across it. The set's "up, up, and away . . . it's your birthday" sentiment is stamped beneath the ribbon in navy ink. The panel is layered on a navy mat, then set on a white card base so it will be easy to write inside.
Materials Used:
Little Hot Rod stamp set, Little Hot Rod and Heart 2 Heart #6 dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko); Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); circle die (Spellbinders); blue satin ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
