Batty for You

Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches Sparks designer drafts challenge. I used the sketch for a love themed card with a seasonal Halloween twist.

I made a simple nighttime scene using the bat from the Falling for You set and a branch from the Hang Ups set on top of a purple dotted paper strip. The bat’s colored with Copic markers and its eyes are coated with Glossy Accents for a fun dimensional look. I used dimensional dots to attach the bat to the cardfront.

I combined two of the Falling for You set’s sentiments to get the “batty for you” that I stamped in purple ink to the right of the image panel. To emphasize the card’s love message, I finished the card off with a felt heart I found in my stash of embellishments, dressed up with a white button and some purple baker’s twine.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Falling for You and Hang Ups stamp sets, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Grape Jelly inks, Copic markers (E33, E35, E37, C-1, C-3, C-5, B0000), Doodlebug Design Haunted Manor 6x6 paper pad, Ranger Glossy Accents, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Lovely Lavender and Vibrant Violet cardstock (Gina K Designs); white button (Michaels); felt heart (American Crafts); purple baker's twine
