Blogger Challenge: Week 273
This week's blogger challenge theme is silhouettes. I went with one of my favorite floral silhouette sets, Kind Deeds from Clear and Simple Stamps, and a past layout from Freshly Made Sketches (#18) in honor of FMS's one year anniversary. The layout was perfect for showcasing the classic silhouette image.
I stamped the set's large floral silhouette image on a white panel in green ink, then stamped the image again offset just the tiniest bit for a subtle shadow. The panel's layered on a tan mat, then set on a green card base. I debated using washi tape for the strip that runs across the card, but in the end, decided to go with a tan strip that matches the tan mat under the image panel. I stamped the "with sympathy" sentiment from the All Occasions 1 set on the strip in green ink and added a twine-tied button as an accent.
For more card and project ideas featuring silhouettes, check out the projects linked below (link list will be added in the morning). And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.
Materials Used:
Kind Deeds and All Occasions 1 stamp sets, Kraft Like a Rockstar Green ink, Kraft Like a Rockstar Green, Kraft Like a Rockstar Tan, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Kraft Like a Rockstar Green button (Clear and Simple Stamps); hemp twine (Hemptique)
