Blogger Challenge: Week 275
This week’s blogger challenge theme is countdown to Halloween. I made a fun Halloween themed card based on the sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
I used the witch image from the Paper Smooches Halloweenies set as my focal image. The witch is colored with Copic markers and cut out. I made a background for her from a panel of orange on orange dotted paper from the Doodlebug Design Halloween Manor Collection Kit. To set the patterned paper off from the orange card base, I matted it on a black panel, then machine stitched around the panel’s edges.
A solid orange strip runs across the patterned paper panel and the witch image is layered over that with dimensional dots. I stamped the set’s “hey cute ghoul” sentiment on a green notch-ended strip and added that to the cardfront, hiding the edge underneath the raised witch image.
