It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Denise is our hostess this week and she’s sharing a feminine color combination—Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, and Garden Green—based on this floral photo for our challenge.
When I sat down to make my card, I couldn’t get flowers out of my mind, so I just went with it! The card’s layout is from this week’s I Spy Sketches challenge. For the focal image on the large panel, I used the Flowers set from Clear and Simple Stamps. Instead of creating two toned flowers like in the photo, I stamped the flowers in two shades of pink on the green stems. The white panel is layered on a bright pink mat, then set on a pale pink panel. I wrapped some white satin ribbon around the top of the panel, adding a pretty bow to secure it. I stamped the set’s “with gratitude” sentiment on a white circle in pink ink, then added it to the cardfront after matting it on a matching pink circle for contrast.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD208. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team. Be sure to give a warm welcome to September's guestie, Sherry Cheever, too!
