Hoppy Halloween

It’s no secret around here that I can’t resist a cute bunny image, so there was no question that the new bunny themed mini Halloween set from Lawn Fawn, Hoppy Halloween, would be finding its way to my house as soon as it arrived at i {heart} papers! I put the set to use for the current Lawnscaping sketch challenge and for Lawn Fawn’s challenge in collaboration with Operation Write Home to make a card for a deployed service member to send home to a child.  I've been sending an envelope packed full of cards to OWH each month for the past few months and it makes me happy to know my cards are going to such a great cause.

The bunny’s colored with Copic markers and accented with a little green Stickles for some sparkle. I cut the image out and used dimensional dots to attach it on a strip of striped patterned paper edged with some fun orange pom pom trim. The set’s “hoppy Halloween” sentiment is stamped in black ink on a coordinating green cardstock strip. All the pieces are set at the bottom of a light purple card base--I ended up flipping the sketch upside down to work better with the direction that the bunny was facing.  The bright colors and cute image make a fun, child friendly card.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Hoppy Halloween stamp set, X-Press white Copic blending cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Copic markers (BV0000, BV00, BV01, BV02, BV04, C00, C-1, C-3, C-5), Doodlebug Design Haunted Manor 6x6 paper pad, Ranger Lime Green Stickles, May Arts orange mini pom pom trim, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Almost Amethyst and Gable Green cardstock (Stampin’ Up!)
