TCP Tuesday 227-Have a Cuppa

For this week’s TCP Tuesday challenge, Julie’s got us thinking about back to school. She’s challenging us to make a project that could be given as a gift for a teacher. As a longtime kindergarten teacher, I think this is a great idea. It’s always nice to know that your students and their families appreciate what you do.

I used the K-cup caddy template I designed for January’s Project of the Month to make a little gift. By the way, if you haven’t checked out the Project of the Month, be sure to do that. Each month a Cat Pack member creates a fabulous project, accompanied by a printable direction sheet so you can recreate the project yourself.

Anyway, getting back to this onetime POTM, I printed the template on blue cardstock and assembled it, then wrapped it with a daisy print patterned paper. I wrapped some orange baker’s twine around the caddy a few times and secured it with a white button. To decorate it, I stamped the bear from the A Cuppa set and colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out and attached it to the front of the caddy with foam tape. The bear’s apron is paper pieced with the same paper I used on the caddy to tie it together. The set’s “have a cuppa” sentiment is stamped on a strip of orange cardstock and attached to the front of the caddy, too. I added a pair of K-cups and it's good to go!

For all the details on this week’s challenge and how you can play along to be eligible to win this week’s Cat Cash prize, stop by the TCP forum on SCS.
