With Love
Here's my card for this week's Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I went for an elegant look on this one, combining some pretty silver glitter paper with a matching crystal flourish for a sparkly focal image.
I stamped the bird pair from the Nordic Spring stamp set on an oval panel die cut from silver glitter paper. I used Versafine's black ink for a dark image--it looks fabulous IRL! After setting clear crystal flourish pieces on a golden yellow dotted panel, I used foam tape to place the image panel in the center. There was just enough room at the bottom of the panel to stamp the "with love" sentiment from the Seasons of Love Tags set at the bottom of the panel.
I layered the image panel on a gray mat, then over a piece of gray patterned paper with a scalloped bottom edge. The panels are set on an elegant damask print panel, then on a golden yellow card base. I'm not usually a big fan of yellow shades, but I'm totally loving the yellow and gray combination right now!
Materials Used:
Nordic Spring and Seasons of Love Tags stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Sweet Corn cardstock (Gina K Designs); Basic Gray cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections silver glitter paper (Michaels); Vintage Finds 6x6 paper pad (Teresa Collins); Head over Heels Tiny Tablet (Lily Bee Design); scallop edge die (Papertrey Ink); clear crystal flourish (Want2Scrap); corner rounder; foam tape
