Blogger Challenge: Week 276
This week’s blogger challenge theme is “falling for you,” which means love themed cards in a fall color scheme. I made a simple fall themed love card using the acorn die from Lil’ Inker Designs and this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
The acorns were die cut from cardstock scraps—kraft for the bottoms and a chocolate brown for the tops. The tops are stamped with a matching image to give them definition and the bottoms are inked with some distress ink. I covered a golden yellow card base with a plaid paper, then added a strip of stitched felt ribbon along the left side. The “nuts about you” sentiment is stamped on a yellow panel that sits near the bottom of the card. I arranged the pair of acorns at the top of the sentiment panel, using foam tape to put them in place.
For more “falling for you” themed card and project ideas, check out the projects linked below. And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.
Materials Used:
Acorn stamp and die set (Lil’ Inker Designs); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); So Saffron and Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Mr. Campy-Happy Campers designer paper (Cosmo Cricket); stitched felt ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
