Blogger Challenge: Week 277
This week’s blogger challenge theme is “take flight.” I used a hot air balloon image from the Our Craft Lounge Love in the Air stamp set along with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch, flipped on its side, for my take on the theme.
I colored the balloon image with Copic markers and carefully cut it out, then set it on a blue circle with foam tape. A few felt clouds I found in my die cut pile filled in the space around the balloon for a sky-like look.
The cardfront is covered with a distressed looking heart patterned paper. I added a red panel along the left side of the cardfront, edging it with a strip of little kraft banners along one side. The image panel is set on top, along with a kraft strip stamped with the “let your dreams take flight” sentiment in red ink. I accented the sentiment with a red button tied with twine.
For more “take flight” themed card and project ideas, check out the projects linked below (link list will be added in the morning). And, feel free to create a new project of your own and link it up for the challenge.
Materials Used:
Love in the Air stamp set (Our Craft Lounge); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Love Me "Hearts" designer paper (My Mind’s Eye); circle die (Spellbinders); Pennant Trim die (Verve Stamps); CutUps Cloud Border die (The Cat’s Pajamas); twine (Hemptique); white felt; foam tape
