You Blow Me Away

Here’s my card for this week’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I took a break from wintery themed cards to create this whimsical one in pastel colors.

I used the large pinwheel image from the Playful Pinwheels set as my focal image. The different sections are stamped in a combination of pink and blue inks. I used the solid stamp for the paler pink and the dotted one for the darker blue.

I used those same colors for the panels on my card. I found a blue on white dotted paper, the reverse of what I used on the pinwheel, for the pair of fishtail strips on the cardfront. A larger scale pink and white dotted strip runs across the fishtail strips. The pinwheel is set over that using foam tape. Since this is going out in the mail, I decided to leave off a stick for the pinwheel. The set’s “you blow me away” sentiment is stamped in blue ink for a soft look.
