You Pop up When I Need You

This week’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps challenge is to be inspired by food or drink. I went with popcorn, one of my all-time favorite snack foods (and Chloe the cutie puppy’s too!) and used the Moonlight Whispers Pippa Popcorn image along with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch for my card.

Pippa is colored with Copic markers and cut out, then adhered to a white panel stamped with the same image. That let me keep the extraneous popcorn pieces flying out of the box while adding dimension to the image.  A strip of red grosgrain ribbon is wrapped around the panel, slipped underneath the raised image, and secured with a knot.  I accented the panel with a strip of shimmery scalloped silver paper along the bottom edge.

The image panel is set on a piece of black dotted paper with a solid red strip along the center. I love that traditional black and red color combination!  The set’s coordinating sentiment is stamped on a white circle in red ink and accented with a twine-tied button.
