Peaceful Wishes

Here's my card for this month's first Viva la Verve sketch.  I ended up stretching the pieces out a bit to make a standard A2 sized card instead of a square one, but kept pretty close to the design.

I used a soft blue color scheme, stamping the three different sized snowflakes from Verve's Frosty Flakes set in three shades of blue on a shimmery white panel.  The center of each flake is dotted with some Stickles for a little extra sparkle.

The stamped panel is layered on a navy mat, then set on a delicate paper doily.  I adhered the panel and doily to a piece of snowflake patterned paper, then knotted a piece of blue satin ribbon around everything.  The "peaceful wishes" sentiment from the Glad Tidings set is stamped in navy ink on a light blue panel and set on the cardfront so it overlaps the image panel just a bit.  The panel is layered on a light blue card base to finish the peaceful feel.

Materials Used:
Frosty Flakes and Glad Tidings stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Memento Bahama Blue, Summer Sky, and Nautical Blue inks (Tsukineko); Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Arctic Wishes matstack (DCWV); blue satin ribbon (Michaels); paper doily (Wilton); Star Dust Stickles (Ranger)
