Color Throwdown 224-Hi There

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! I’m your challenge hostess this week and I found this photo of sweet, pastel patchwork mitten cookies for us to use as color inspiration.

I used one of my older Pure Innocence stamp sets from My Favorite Things along with the current sketch from Deconstructed Sketches for my card. The little cutie and her balloon are colored with Copic markers and added to an oval panel with some strips of green die cut grass along the bottom. The balloon in the stamp set is only half of a balloon, so I used a black pen to finish it!

I set the image panel over a piece of pink paper with a subtle pattern. I used two more patterned strips beneath it, then added a solid strip for the bottom so that the sentiment (from another Pure Innocence set) would show up nicely when stamped. I wrapped some green baker’s twine around the card and secured it with a little bow, then added a pair of half circles along the left side of the card as accents. They’re machine stitched with that tricky zig zag stitch to anchor them to the card. There’s just a tiny touch of the Almost Amethyst here, but I got it in!

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD224. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and our December/January guestie, Miriam.
