Go Forth and Eat Cake

This week’s blogger challenge theme is birthdays. I combined the challenge with this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this clean and simple birthday card featuring one of those big eared bunnies from The Cat’s Pajamas.

I stamped the bunny from the Forget about the Cake set on white cardstock, colored him with Copic markers, then carefully cut out the colored image. It’s set on a red and kraft dotted patterned paper panel with foam tape.

After matting the dotted strip with a brown panel, I adhered it to a kraft panel with a debossed dot pattern, carrying on the dot theme. The set’s “go forth and eat cake” sentiment is stamped on a red notch-ended strip and attached to the cardfront so it extends out from underneath the cake.

Materials Used:
Forget about the Cake stamp set (The Cat’s Pajamas); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Riding Hood Red and Close to Cocoa cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Polka Dot embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); foam tape
