Paper Smooches SPARKS-January Designer Drafts Challenge

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Designer Drafts challenge. I used the vertical orientation of the sketch for my card.

I used the Spiffy Scooters set to make a simple scene. The scooter is colored with Copic markers, then cut out and adhered to a dotted paper panel with a strip of gray cardstock “road” along the bottom. I used dimensional dots for a dimensional look. Once the scooter was in place, I coated the headlights with some Glossy Accents for a glass-like look. To finish the scene, I added a felt cloud and a cheery button sun, tied with orange baker’s twine.

I used a coordinating hexagon patterned paper for the strip that runs across the cardfront underneath the scooter panel. To tie the pieces together, I matted them on the same color cardstock and used that same color again for the narrow strip along the bottom of the cardfront. The set’s “scooting by to say hi” sentiment is stamped in black ink along the side of the image panel. It was too long to fit in one straight line, but the clear stamps make it easy to stack the words.

Be sure to stop by the challenge blog for all the challenge details and for more inspiration, too!
