Sunny Side Up
Here’s a super cheery card for this week’s Retro Sketches challenge. I went pretty scrappy on this one, using a mix of papers and some dies from Lil’ Inker Designs. After all the dreary weather I've seen since getting home earlier this week, a sun-themed card was a nice change of pace!
I layered a pair of fluffy white felt clouds on a piece of dotted patterned paper, then added a die cut sun on top, using foam tape for dimension. After edging the patterned paper panel with solid cardstock strips that match the sun, I adhered the panels to the top of an aqua card base. The “sunny side up” sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Sun Sentiments stamp set is stamped just underneath the panels in a slightly darker blue ink. So cute and easy to mail to someone in need of some cheering up!
Materials Used:
Sun Sentiments stamp set, cloud and sun dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); Aqua Mist and Harvest Gold cardstock, Aqua Mist patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Vivid Beach Glass ink (Clearsnap); white felt; foam tape
