The theme for this month’s
Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party is love. I put together this frilly, feminine design for the party.
I love the look of WMS’s woodgrain stamps, so I used several on this card. The big woodgrain background image is stamped on the kraft panel in matching kraft ink. I rubbed a little distress ink on the panel, too, for a warm look. I also stamped two of the woodgrain patterned hearts from the My Heart set in red ink on kraft cardstock to use on the card. After adhering a piece of paper doily and a part of a big crystal flourish to the kraft panel, I added the hearts using foam tape. One of the hearts is embellished with a piece of knotted taffeta ribbon.
I stamped the “with love” sentiment from the Sweethearts set at the bottom of the panel, then layered it on a red card base. It’s a little more formal and elegant than my usual style, but I like how it turned out.
Materials Used:
Woodgrain, My Heart, and Sweethearts stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Rhubarb Stalk and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Crumb Cake Classic ink, Riding Hood Red ink, white taffeta ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); clear crystal flourish (Michaels); white paper doily; foam tape
