Warm Wishes

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. This week’s sketch is a simple one, so I added interest with a busy designer paper background and a little scene as the focal image.

I used the Pure Innocence Warm Wishes set for my focal image. I colored the little girl image with Copic markers, adding some white flock to her coat, hat, and boots for a little texture. The cutout image is set on a snowy backdrop made from a snowflake embossed oval with torn shimmery white snow along the bottom. The panel is layered on a kraft mat, then set on a piece of multicolored hexagon patterned paper. I machine stitched around the edges of the patterned paper, then added the set’s “warm wishes” sentiment on a little tab, accented with a snowflake brad.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Warm Wishes stamp set (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Soft Sky and Shimmery White cardstock, word window punch (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Winter Fun 6x6 paper pad (Carta Bella); oval dies (Spellbinders); white flock (Stampendous); silver snowflake brad (Michaels)
