Chevron Thanks

Here’s my card for this month’s Avery Elle guest designer challenge. I took my inspiration for the card from the photo’s color scheme and the fun chevron pattern seen on the table runner in the photo.

I used the thank you sentiments from the Framed Fonts set as my focal image. Instead of stamping them in the set’s frame, I stamped the words on a die cut circle in a sunny yellow ink. The stamped panel is matted on a bright pink circle for a nice pop, then adhered to the cardfront along the edge of a strip of chevron patterned paper. I accented the panel with a pair of buttons tied with some hemp cord. To balance the design, I added a pair of layered fishtail flag strips at the top of the card, accented with a baker’s twine tied button.  I love this fun, cheery color scheme--it's perfect for a thank you card!

Materials Used:
Framed Fonts stamp set (Avery Elle); Lemon Drop ink, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Barely Banana, and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Persnickety Tiny Tablet (Lily Bee Design); circle dies (Spellbinders); buttons (Michaels); white hemp cord (Hemptique)
