Wishing You Joy
Here's my card for this week's CAS(e) this Sketch challenge. I used the sketch in it's vertical orientation along with a new stamp set from Mama Elephant. I don't have many (maybe even any!) people silhouette images in my stamp collection, so when I saw the So Breezy set, I decided to pick it up.
I stamped the girl and kite images on a light blue panel, using a gray ink for a softer look. The "wishing you joy" sentiment is stamped along the left edge of the panel. I cut a piece of blue patterned paper with a feminine floral design for the panel behind the image. The two panels are arranged on a turquoise card base.
I found a scrap of turquoise stitched grosgrain ribbon in my ribbon pile and folded it to make a tab to slip under the image panel to help set it apart from the patterned paper without adding a mat. The angular mat isn't something I wouldn't have tried on my own, but I really like how it looks!
Materials Used:
So Breezy stamp set (Mama Elephant); Memento Gray Flannel ink (Tsukineko); Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Country Drive-Daisy Field designer paper (Echo Park); turquoise stitched grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)
