Paper Smooches SPARKS March Cool Shades Challenge

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Cool Shades challenge featuring tangerine, deep orange, lime, and lemon. I used a brand new Paper Smooches die along with its coordinating stamp set for this encouraging design.

I used one of the dies from the Dinos 2 set to cut two dinosaurs from a piece of orange on orange dotted paper, then stamped the matching triceratops image from the Cuteasaurus set on the die cut pieces. To make a dimensional dinosaur for my card, I cut the head from one of the die cuts and added it to the other with dimensional dots. The horns are paper pieced with scraps of lemon cardstock for some contrast. The finished dino is set on a kraft panel with green dotted paper “grass” at the bottom.

I adhered a strip of deep orange chevron patterned paper along the right side of a lemon card base, then added an orange-y notch-ended strip at the center. The image panel is adhered over that. I stamped the “good tri” sentiment on the kraft panel in deep orange ink, then added a fluffy white felt cloud with an orange baker's twine-tied button sun as an accent.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog for all the details on this week’s challenge and some amazing inspiration from the design team, too. Here are the rest of the team members sharing projects today:
