You Color My World

Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I stretched the square layout to an easier to mail standard A2 one, keeping all of the elements the same other than that.

I used the Pure Innocence You Color My World set for the focal image. I colored the girl with Copic markers and cut her out, then used foam tape to attach her to a large circle panel. The panel is set over a cardfront covered with a pair of multicolored patterned paper panels. I thought the mix of colors worked well with the painter theme of the image. I probably should have colored the image differently to better coordinate with the papers, though . . .

Once the image panel was in place, I added a little tag die cut stamped with the "you color my world sentiment at the bottom of the image panel. The tag’s accented with a bit of knotted red grosgrain ribbon for a pop of color and texture.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence You Color My World stamp set, Die-namics Traditional Tag Stax die (My Favorite Things); Daffodil Delight and Real Red cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Quite Contrary-Jack and Jill "How Sweet It Is" Yummy Stripe designer paper (My Mind’s Eye); circle dies (Spellbinders); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
