Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop

This month’s Papertrey Ink blog hop theme is projects with a tilted element. I used the airplane image from the Little Hot Rod set to make an interactive card for the hop.

The airplane image is stamped on the matching die cut piece in red and blue inks. I created a scene for the plane, using a sponge and a cloud template to make a sky background and some patterned paper for  “grass” at the bottom of the panel. The slider path for the plane is cut on a slant for my card's tilted element. I used small cork circles and some dimensional dots to secure the plane inside the track. The "flying by to say hi" sentiment is stamped along the bottom of the slider track.  I layered the scene on a coordinating light blue cardstock panel, then set the piece on a dark blue card base.

Materials Used:
Little Hot Rod stamp set, Simply Chartreuse patterned paper, Little Hot Rod dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Love Letter and Nautical Blue inks (Tsukineko); Tumbled Glass distress ink (Ranger); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Word Windows die (Clear and Simple Stamps); foam tape
